We boarded Holland America’s Oosterdam yesterday in Malaga and arrived in Cadiz this morning. We explored Old Town on foot, watched surfers in the afternoon sun, and shopped at El Corte Ingles.

Xcaret Parks, Mexico April 22, 2022

Hotel Xcaret Arte, where we are staying, includes unlimited admission to Xcaret’s 8 parks. We’ve already visited Xplor Fuego and Xcaret Mexico, and we went to Xenses today. This park takes about half a day to visit and includes rides and attractions that include all of your senses.

Guadalajara, Mexico April 18, 2022

We drove to Lake Chapala, about an hour south of Guadalajara today. Guadalajara is the home of mariachis and tequila, and there were agave fields lining the roads. We had lunch at a lake-front restaurant with mariachis and drinks and dessert at the beautiful spa resort Hotel Monte Coxala.

Today we explored the beautiful neighborhood of Tlaqupaque, an artist community in Guadalajara. We had lunch at a traditional Mexican restaurant with mariachis. Many families were having Easter dinner and shopping in the gorgeous art galleries.

Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon, Iceland June 24, 2019
