Cesky Krumlov July 6, 2015

Tubing and swimming on the Vltava River

Today we’re in Cesky Krumlov, a medieval town in the Czech Republic. Old Town was founded in the 1200s and is surrounded by the Vltava River. We’ve had a lot of fun exploring the cobblestone streets. The shops here¬†are much different than other places we’ve been. There are puppets, lace, crystal, and¬†leathersmiths, but very few tacky tourist shops.

This crazy, unusual heat makes swimming and tubing the river look like so much fun! When I booked our 4th floor attic apartment in March, it sounded great. But with no air conditioning or fan, it’s been miserable. I dragged our mattress in the living room and slept in front of the open refrigerator.
