Cesky Krumlov July 6, 2015

Tubing and swimming on the Vltava River

Today we’re in Cesky Krumlov, a medieval town in the Czech Republic. Old Town was founded in the 1200s and is surrounded by the Vltava River. We’ve had a lot of fun exploring the cobblestone streets. The shops here are much different than other places we’ve been. There are puppets, lace, crystal, and leathersmiths, but very few tacky tourist shops.

This crazy, unusual heat makes swimming and tubing the river look like so much fun! When I booked our 4th floor attic apartment in March, it sounded great. But with no air conditioning or fan, it’s been miserable. I dragged our mattress in the living room and slept in front of the open refrigerator.
