Kutna Hora, Czech Republic July 8, 2015

We took a day trip to the Sedlec Ossuary today, about one hour outside of Prague. The Sedlec Ossuary in Kutna Hora is also known as the Bone Church. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage site and contains the bones of 40,000 – 70,000 people. The bones were arranged in chandeliers, garlands, pyramids, and a coat of arms by a monk in the 1800s. I thought it would be creepy and eerie, but it was actually very artful and respectful.
