Flores, Indonesia October 18, 2016

Posted by on October 18, 2016

We flew from Bali to Labuan Bajo, Flores yesterday so we could take a full-day tour of Komodo National Park. I didn’t want to come all the way to Indonesia and not see Komodo dragons. The dragons are found in Komodo National Park which stretches across several Indonesian islands. The easiest way to see them is to take a boat from Labuan Bajo on the island of Flores.

We cruised for about an hour and snorkeled with manta rays and then had lunch off the coast of a beautiful island. We then sailed to Komodo National Park and were met by park rangers. They led us on an hour-long hike around the island. We anchored off the coast Kalong Island at sunset to watch thousands of flying foxes rise from the trees.
