Disney Dream January 15, 2018

Posted by on January 15, 2018

We flew into Orlando last night and stayed at the Days Inn Cocoa Beach near Port Canaveral. I always like to arrive at the pier the day prior to a cruise to make sure we arrive in time to board the ship. We dropped our rental car off at the port and were on board the ship by 1:30pm. We’re sailing on the Disney Dream for the next five days. The ship will port in Nassau and Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay. We’ve sailed with Disney twice before on the Disney Magic, but it’s been about 9 years and I’m excited to be back.

Disney is the absolute best cruise for children. The children’s clubs and activities are amazing, the menus and food are prepared with children in mind, the staff is amazingly friendly and patient, and the cabins are perfect for families. Our balcony cabin has a safety lock at the top of the door which really reassured me that our 5 year old wouldn’t wander out on her own. The bathroom is split with a tub, shower, and sink on one side and toilet and sink on the other so multiple people can get ready at once.
