We’re staying in Zaandam, a small town 2 train stops away from Amsterdam Centraal Station. My son found a picture of the Inntel Hotel Zaandam and loved the architecture. It is in a great location with a good price (for Amsterdam). It’s located in an up-and-coming area with shops, restaurants, movie theater, and nearby windmills in Zaanse Schans.

We rented bikes in Zaandam and rode along the canal to the windmills in Zaanse Schans. Europe is having a heat wave and highs are usually in the 70s, but the weather this week has been in the 90s. Our bike ride was beautiful but I wanted to jump in the canal!
