Dustin and Jessi

I arranged Dustin and Jessi’s honeymoon to Hawaii a few years ago. They wanted to celebrate their anniversary at an all-inclusive resort on a beautiful island with lush scenery similar to Hawaii. They had heard about St. Lucia and Sandals Resorts which has 3 properties in St. Lucia, and guests who stay at one resort can eat, drink, and play at all 3 resorts. Dustin and Jessi decided to stay at Sandals Halcyon Beach Resort and Spa.

We had an amazing time! We absolutely LOVED Halycon! What a great resort. We took the shuttle to the Grand for an afternoon, and while we loved seeing a new resort, we couldn’t wait to get back to our quiet, secluded resort. Our room was great and close to the “quiet pool.” Which is the pool we spent most of our time at, when we weren’t at the beach.
Dustin was a little apprehensive about peddlers on the beach, but we never had any problems with them at all. Actually, I think Sandals did a great job of “keeping locals, selling things” away from its guests. We did buy a cute little sundress from a local vendor on the vendor fair night. I’m hoping it will fit this summer, as it was too big for the end of last summer.
We did not go on any excursions because we just wanted to relax and be kid free! We loved all of the food! Dustin would tell you that his favorite meal was every day, at breakfast time! Getting omelets made to his liking, sausage, bread, milk, juice, and more….what else could he ask for? 🙂
Our shuttle drivers, to and from the airport, were polite and told us about some of the island’s history on the LONG ride. Although long, I LOVED the rides to and from the airport because I really got to see the culture and the way many people live on the island. A family friend of ours goes to St. Lucia every year on a mission trip. We decided (after our ride to the resort) that any money we had left from our trip would be going to our friend for their upcoming mission trip this winter. We spoke with a few people about the local school system and how the schools work there….always wanting to learn!
Overall, we LOVED it! Dustin and I have a hard time decided if we liked it better than Hawaii or the other way around. We would go back to St. Lucia in a heart beat!
Thanks again for all you’ve done for us over the years! We love working with you, and spread your name to anyone who is thinking of traveling!
