Honeymoon in Riviera Maya<\/h1>\n

I met with Lacey and Adam, a honeymoon couple who wanted to relax at an all-inclusive resort. I explained that all-inclusive resorts can be large with many dining and entertainment options, or they can be smaller and more intimate with personal service. It was the first time they\u00a0had traveled out of the\u00a0country, and\u00a0they\u00a0wanted the option to explore cultural and historical sites as well as\u00a0the opportunity\u00a0to relax.<\/p>\n

I suggested Excellence Riviera Cancun<\/a>, an adult-only all-inclusive resort in the Riviera Maya. Excellence is known for its personal service, great dining and entertainment options, and location near Mayan ruins and shopping.<\/p>\n

Thoughts from the bride: My name is Lacey Wilson, my husband and I traveled to Rivera Maya on October 18th for our honeymoon. We stayed at the Excellence Resort and loved our experience! When we arrived at our resort we were greeted by the front attendant who took our luggage and a waitress who brought us a cold glass of champagne and a cool towel. The check-in process was quick and easy. We arrived around 1:30 so our room was not quite ready, but they gave us a beeper and said to relax and look around and they would page us as soon as\u00a0the room\u00a0was ready. We walked around for a little bit and ordered a drink from one of the many places available on the resort. About 45 minutes later we were able to go to our room. We followed the bellboy who had our luggage. We were in awe of how beautiful everything was! We passed a lot of\u00a0rooms that had a “Honeymoon” banner on the door and we were happy that we had one as well. The room was beautiful. There were towels in the shape of swans and rose petals on our bed. The room looked great! We had a poolside view of the lazy river which is about 1\/4 of a mile long and was by far my husband’s favorite pool. All of the pools were big and we were always able to find a couple of empty chairs to lay out if we wanted. There were waiters that would come around the pools and the beach and see if you needed anything,\u00a0which\u00a0was nice. The restaurants were very good. There\u00a0is a variety of\u00a0restaurants that we could choose from and we did not need a reservation for any of them. The service was great, all of the restaurant staff were courteous and efficient. There were a few times when we wanted to stay in and we ordered room service. The room service menu gave a lot of variety and the staff was quick and the food was great! One of our excursions was to go to Chitzen Itza, one of the Mayan Ruins. We went on a large tour bus where the staff served beverages and snacks. They were very informational and made the trip enjoyable for us. The ride was 2 1\/2 hours one way, which we knew ahead of time, but I would say the experience was well worth it! We traveled through an old Yucatan village on our way to the Ruins. Our tour guide gave us a very informative tour of the Ruins and then we were allowed to walk around on our own for an hour and visit the locals that were selling their products. It was a great trip and I’m so glad we went! After Chitzen Itza we stopped at a very authentic Mexican restaurant and had an all you can eat lunch while we watched some local woman put on a show. On our way back to the resort we stopped at a natural spring that is approximately 250ft underground. The water is 159ft deep and we were able to swim and cool off. It was so much fun! We stayed at our resort for 5 nights. Every night there was a show in the main theater that we could attend and plenty of different people from different parts of the world that we could socialize with and get to know. The resort was beautiful, the staff was amazing, and the excursions were so much fun. We really had the time of our lives and I would recommend the Excellence resort to anyone traveling to Rivera Maya!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
