We finally made it to Bali! I’m pretty sure we’re on the exact opposite side of the earth. We flew over the Pacific Ocean – through Denver, Tokyo, and Jakarta – and the total travel time was 29 hours plus a night at a Jakarta hotel. If we’d flown over the Atlantic Ocean through the Middle East, the travel time would have been 31 hours.<\/p>\n

Our hotel outside of Ubud has made the long journey worth it. We’re staying at Puri Gangga Resort and Spa <\/a>which is located in the village of Sebatu. I arranged a private car with the hotel, and our driver was waiting outside the airport. It took about an hour to reach the hotel since we arrived during rush hour, but the drive was beautiful! \u00a0Our resort package included a 15 minute foot massage which was really appreciated after such a long trip.<\/p>\n
