I&#8217;ve sent several clients who have stayed for a few nights on their way to or from other countries in Europe. They raved about the black sand beaches, waterfalls, glaciers, and beautiful landscapes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My family of four really likes jumping in the car with an idea of things to do, but no set schedule. It&#8217;s always fun to find out-of-the-way places to explore. I&#8217;ve planned an eight day itinerary stretching along the south coast from the Snaefellsnes Peninsula in the west to Hofn in the east. We&#8217;ll stay at a different hotel or cottage each night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our flight departed Minneapolis last night at 10:15pm and we arrived this morning at 9:15am. We tried to get as much rest as possible on the 6 hour flight, but it wasn&#8217;t easy. I&#8217;ve never had good luck sleeping on a plane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Architecture is pretty interesting in Reykjavik. On the one hand they have a ton of colorful public art installations, but churches, hotels, and public buildings are very modern, contemporary, and clean. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My son really wanted to learn about Vikings, so our first stop was the Viking World museum.
