We flew from Guadalajara to Cancun this afternoon on Viva, a low-cost Mexican airline. While Guadalajara was warm and dry, Cancun is hot and humid! I’ve traveled to Mexico several times and have seen billboards and ads for Xcaret Parks. I really wanted to visit the parks and found that if you stay at one of Xcaret’s onsite hotels, you receive unlimited admission to 8 parks and ferry to Isla Mujeres. I decided to stay at Xcaret Hotel Arte, their adults-only hotel. Our suite is gorgeous – a huge walk-in shower, double whirlpool, private balcony with hammock, and minibar stocked with water, beer, soda, and snacks. The hotel is divided into five casas, and we are in Casa de Musica. Our balcony has views of the pool with swim-up bar and open-air theater. Our building also has a rooftop pool with cabanas and bar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
