I haven&#8217;t been to California since I was a girl, so it&#8217;s fun to see things through my kids&#8217; eyes. We are staying at Club Donatello in downtown San Francisco only one block from Union Square. Based on the sightseeing I&#8217;ve planned, this should be a good base for public transportation and walking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We started by walking 15 minutes to Chinatown and the Fortune Cookie Factory. Samples were really good! We had some amazing sourdough for lunch at Boudin Bakery at Fisherman&#8217;s Wharf. The sea lions were fun to watch on Pier 39.
