We flew into Moab to begin our trip of Utah’s Mighty Five National Parks – Arches, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, Zion, and Bryce National Parks. With the exception of the skydiving plane in New Zealand, the plane from Denver to Moab was the smallest plane I’ve taken. It had room for about 15 passengers and a large cargo area in the back. There was no terminal (just a small tarmac) and baggage claim was a small cart that delivered our bags next to the plane. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It’s high season in Utah, so I reserved a timed entry for Arches National Park. There were several cars in the parking lots, but it wasn’t as crazy as I thought it would be. The weather is gorgeous – 70s and sunny. We stopped for photos of Balanced Rock, Windows Arch, and a short but steep hike to view Delicate Arch.
