The total drive time was about 3.5 hours, and we stopped in Green River for lunch. We tried to visit Goblin Valley State Park, but the line was so long that we skipped the park and drove onto the Gifford Store in Capitol Reef. We were trying to arrive in time to eat their famous homemade pie, cinnamon rolls, and ice cream, but they sold the last piece of pie as we walked in at 2:00pm. We checked into our hotel and ate at Loa&#8217;s only restaurant, and then we went back to Capitol Reef and hiked 4.5 miles on the Grand Wash Trail. We started around 4pm and had the trail to ourselves. This is the least visited park of Utah&#8217;s Mighty Five.
