Valletta, Malta November 6, 2018

Posted by on November 6, 2018

This morning we took a walking tour of Valletta, Malta’s capital. Malta’s architecture spans centuries, influences, and styles. The island nation has been occupied by the Phoenicians, Arabs, Romans, Normans, French, and British. They each brought their own religion, food, language, and government. This rich history was one of the things that attracted me to Malta.

This afternoon we took a tour of The Three Cities of Birgu/Vittoriosa, Isla/Senglea, and Bormla. We took a private water taxi for 4 euro from Valletta across the harbor. The 2.5 hour tour was with Rolling Geeks, from whom we rented an electric car. The car has a pre-programmed GPS that guided us where to go.
