I met with Mary and Brad, who wanted to plan a destination wedding. They wanted a warm destination with a beautiful beach and the resort needed to be kid-friendly. The wedding party was fairly large and the guests varied from children to grandparents, so the couple wanted a variety of activities and entertainment to keep everyone busy. Mary and Brad really wanted a all-inclusive resort located within the United States so their guests didn’t have to purchase passports. Mary also wanted an on-site wedding coordinator who could handle the details from thousands of miles away.
I researched ideas in Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Gulf Coast of Florida. These destinations didn’t require a passport, but were not all-inclusive. Although Mary and Brad didn’t want their guests to purchase passports, I also suggested Moon Palace Golf and Spa Resort just south of Cancun, Mexico. Moon Palace is a fabulous all-inclusive resort (see my blog about my trip there) with a huge variety of activities, entertainment, restaurants, bars, and sightseeing options. They have on-site wedding coordinators who handle every detail of wedding ceremonies and receptions before you arrive so you can relax from the moment you check in.
I think they were very happy with their choice. After they returned, Mary said:
The trip was AMAZING! Our wedding coordinator was awesome and accommodated my last minute request to move the reception indoors (it was quite cool and windy when we were there). The resort, the food, the drinks….spectacular! The pools were amazing. We were so pleased and my wedding and reception were probably better than I ever imagined!
Brad and I were so pleased with Moon Palace and we were so glad that we decided to have our wedding there. Our guests had amazing times and we will never forget the trip! Thanks so much for the recommendation and all your hard work!
