We’re starting our 16 day family vacation in San Francisco. I haven’t been to California since I was a girl, so it’s fun to see things through my kids’ eyes. We are staying at Club Donatello in downtown San Francisco only one block from Union Square. Based on the sightseeing I’ve planned, this should be a good base for public transportation and walking.
We started by walking 15 minutes to Chinatown and the Fortune Cookie Factory. Samples were really good! We had some amazing sourdough for lunch at Boudin Bakery at Fisherman’s Wharf. The sea lions were fun to watch on Pier 39. We finished our day with hot fudge sundaes at Ghiradelli Square.
