We started our day at Tanah Lot, a famous rock formation on the southwest coast with an ancient Hindu shrine. The rocks are popular at sunset, but we were there during the day at low tide when you could walk out.
We then went to Gunung Kawi Temple, which was just down the hill from our hotel. We could always hear children laughing and splashing from the hotel’s pool, but we didn’t know where it was coming from. The Temple has two pools where people gather to bathe and swim. They also love to play badminton and had a covered court.
We went to a special dinner at the hotel that featured local food and traditional Balinese music and dancing. The performances were amazing!
