Utah
Las Vegas, Nevada May 8, 2025
Yes, I know Las Vegas isn’t in Utah but this is the last destination on our road trip of Utah’s Mighty Five National Parks. We began our trip in Moab and we’ll fly home from Las Vegas tomorrow. This is definitely the warmest, busiest, and most touristy part of our 10 day trip. My favorite … Continue reading
Zion National Park, Utah May 6, 2025
We woke up to snow this morning in Bryce Canyon! It rained and snowed for most of our 2.5 hour drive from Bryce Canyon to Zion National Park. I had planned to stop in Orderville to ride UTVs and hike slot canyons, but I didn’t think it would have been fun or safe in the … Continue reading
Bryce Canyon, Utah May 5, 2025
We left Capitol Reef this morning and drove 2.5 hours to Bryce Canyon City, the closest town to Bryce Canyon National Park. This is definitely the most touristy place we’ve been so far – charter buses full of international travelers, trash along the park trail, and souvenir shops. As we drove into the park, the … Continue reading
Capitol Reef, Utah May 4, 2025

Sand Flats Recreation Area, Utah May 3, 2025

Dead Horse Point State Park, Utah May 2, 2025
Dead Horse State Point is a great state park to add to Utah’s Mighty Five National Parks. It’s about 45 minutes from Moab near Canyonlands National Park. There’s a beautiful overlook of the valleys and river at the end of the main road.
Arches National Park, Utah May 1, 2025
We flew into Moab to begin our trip of Utah’s Mighty Five National Parks – Arches, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, Zion, and Bryce National Parks. With the exception of the skydiving plane in New Zealand, the plane from Denver to Moab was the smallest plane I’ve taken. It had room for about 15 passengers and a … Continue reading
