We’re in Malaysia to go to a MotoGP motorcycle race at Sepang International Circuit. I’d read that the weather was unbearably hot and humid, but I had no idea until we stepped off the plane. I’ve never sweat so much in my life!
We’re staying at the Tune Hotel, the closest hotel to the track. On race weekends, we are at the track from 9 – 5 every day. I don’t want to waste alot of time traveling, so location is important. I have to say that location was about the only thing going for this property. We could walk around the bed if we put all the luggage on the bed. When you sit down to go to the bathroom, you hit your head on the wall. You have to pay for towels and air conditioning. However, it was extremely clean, had a great shower, and offered free internet access in the computer lounge. The lobby was always busy and the courtyard was full of guests, so it must be popular.
We ventured into Kuala Lumpur. The main sights are spread around the city, but public transportation made it easy to move around. The Petronas Towers were gorgeous at night. I was disappointed with Merdeka Square, their main gathering area downtown. I expected more people out and about.
