May 21, 2015 Cancun, Mexico

I am the luckiest girl in the world – I get to travel to LeBlanc Spa Resort for my job! This resort is rated #1 out of 178 hotels in Cancun by users of Tripadvisor, and I can definitely see why! The lobby was absolutely gorgeous and the check-in desk were very intimate and friendly. … Continue reading »

May 20, 2015 Isla Mujeres, Mexico

I took the ferry today from Cancun to Isla Mujeres, an island north of Cancun’s Hotel Zone. The ferry took 15 minutes. You can easily explore the island by renting golf carts or scooters – circling the island takes about 30 minutes. The last time I was here, I rented a golf cart for the afternoon for … Continue reading »

May 19, 2015 Riviera Maya, Mexico

Today I am staying at Moon Palace Golf and Spa Resort in the Riviera Maya, Mexico. I have sent many, many happy clients and arranged several destination weddings at this resort. I’ve always recommended the resort based on the wide range of restaurants, bars, and entertainment. I also love their rooms – all with double … Continue reading »

May 18, 2015 Cozumel, Mexico

This morning I took the ferry from Playa del Carmen to Cozumel. The ferry departs often and takes about 45 minutes. Cozumel is popular with divers and snorkelers due to numerous reefs that are just off-shore. Cozumel Palace is within walking distance of shopping, restaurants, a movie theater, and entertainment. The resort does not have … Continue reading »

May 17, 2015 Playa del Carmen, Mexico

I’m in Mexico this week to check out Destination Wedding locations, packages, and resorts. My first stop is Playacar Palace in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. I really like the location of this resort – 5 minutes walking distance from shopping, entertainment, and restaurants on Fifth Avenue and adjacent to the pier with ferry departures for … Continue reading »

Tokyo Disneyland, Japan October 20, 2014

There are two Disney parks in Tokyo – Disneyland and DisneySea. Disneyland is very similar to Magic Kingdom in Orlando with Pirates of the Caribbean, Cinderella’s Castle, Space Mountain, and It’s a Small World. DisneySea is more like Hollywood Studios with Tower of Terror, Toy Story, and Indiana Jones. Alcohol is served at DisneySea, so … Continue reading »

Tokyo, Japan October 19, 2014

We took the train into Tokyo this afternoon, where we’ll end our trip. I’m so sad that it’s almost time to go home! Our hotel, Mitsui Garden Shiodome, is close to the Tokyo Tower so walked there tonight. We ate crepes from a street vendor and there were so many flavors to choose from! We … Continue reading »

Shirakawa-go, Japan October 18, 2014

We drove to Shirakawa-go today to visit the Gassho Houses. These houses are part of a traditional village and the village is a UNESCO Heritage site. Shirakawa is one of the snowiest places in Japan and also in the world. Average snowfall is over 400 inches per year, so the Japanese built their homes with steep … Continue reading »

Takayama, Japan October 17, 2014

We walked around the town of Takayama today, which is a beautiful town in the heart of the Japanese Alps. Old Town has craft shops that date back to the 16th century and the morning markets had fall vegetables, flowers, and fruit.

Takayama, Japan October 16, 2014

We drove from Matsumoto to Takayama, through the Japanese Alps. I highly recommend taking Highway 158, avoiding the tunnel that cuts time off the drive. The road is full of switchbacks, waterfalls, and dams. Fruits, vegetables, and rice are being harvested and there are stands with apples and grapes everywhere. They even sell apple and grape … Continue reading »
