Seattle, Washington 6.26.2013
Our son gets to choose our family vacations, and he picked Washington State this year. We have friends in Vancouver and I’ve always wanted to go to Whistler, so we’re on a 10 day trip of the Pacific Northwest. We flew into Seattle last night and were very busy today. We started the day eating donuts … Continue reading
November 16, 2012 Cancun, Mexico
I’m on to Beach Palace and LeBlanc Spa Resort today. Beach Palace is in the center of Cancun’s Hotel Zone. It’s close to shopping and restaurants such as Bubba Gump’s and Outback Steakhouse. I’ve been on twelve cruises and I really think this resort has a cruise ship feel, especially the view from the Sky Floor. This … Continue reading
November 15, 2012 Cancun, Mexico
I’m at Sun Palace, a couples-only resort on the southern end of Cancun’s Hotel Zone. While the hotel is one of the closest to the airport, it is furthest from the party center. The water is so blue here and the view north of the hotel zone is gorgeous at night. Anyone is welcome at this resort, … Continue reading

I send so many clients to all-inclusive resorts in Cancun and the Riviera Maya and everyone wants to know where I stayed. This week, I’m on a mission to see as many resorts as I can to give you the best travel advice possible. The packages I arrange include transportation from the airport to the hotel. But … Continue reading
September 17, 2011 Morella, Spain
We were up before the sun today, driving to the MotoGP track in Alcaniz. We visited Morella, an ancient walled city on a hilltop. The old town is surrounded by 1.5 miles of stone walls with 7 huge gates.
September 16, 2011 Aragon, Spain
We’re driving from Barcelona to the Aragon region of Spain. The views are beautiful – the Mediterranean on the left and rolling hills on the right. We’re staying in an apartment in Cati surrounded by beautiful churches and countryside.
September 15, 2011 Split, Croatia
Today we are in Split, Croatia’s second largest city. The pier is near Old Town and Diocletian’s Palace, a medieval palace that’s really like a walled city. We didn’t take an organized shore excursion offered by the ship here – we just walked around Old Town.
September 13, 2011 Mykonos, Greece
We are in Mykonos today, another Greek Island in the Mediterranean. Mykonos is much different than Santorini – it is flatter with larger white beaches. The architecture isn’t quite as stunning, but the windmills that dot the island and windy roads edged by stone walls are fun to explore. The ship docked about one mile … Continue reading
September 12, 2011 Santorini, Greece
I was so excited to visit Santorini! This is the Greek island that you always see pictures of in travel brochures – white-washed houses and blue-domed churches. The island is an ancient volcanic caldera and towns are perched on the edge of steep cliffs 900 feet above the sea. The port of Fira is located … Continue reading
September 11, 2011 Bodrum, Turkey
Today we’re in Bodrum, a port city on the Aegean Sea. The Castle of St. Peter, which overlooks the harbor and marina, was built by the Crusaders in the 15th century. The town is popular with tourists, sailors, and shoppers.
